Martin Luther King and his dream

Today the kids and I went on an adventure to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in DC.  We met up with some friends, and as soon as Noah saw the statue he said, "Look, it's my daddy!"

It was interesting visiting the memorial with two energetic toddlers and two babies, but I was so happy when we got home and the neighborhood girls asked Noah where he went.

"I saw King's statue.  Martin Luther King and his dream.  His dream Noah character."

What a great idea to bring them to visit this. I have always talked to my own children about the history of our country, Ireland and they've grown up very knowledgeable about things. When they see something for themselves, like this statue it becomes even more real for them. Noah is a beautiful child!

We had a lot of fun. I'm so happy we made it to visit. When the weather is more predictable, I think we'll go back with Daddy!
